As a school, we are in need of nice new team kit to match our fabulous new uniform. Therefore, year 6 carried out various activities to help persuade a company to sponsor this new kit. Some children wrote a letter, some drew some great designs and posters about why we needed the new kit and some even made a short film to help persuade them. Well done year 6, hopefully we will get a favourable response from the company soon!

RE - How do Muslims show Commitment?

    Posted by Mrs N Lawday
This week, we learnt that the fourth pillar of Islam is ‘Sawm’. During the month of Ramadan every year, Muslims do not eat or drink at all during the hours of daylight. Muslims fast because God says in the Qur’an that they should. Fasting is a way of showing that they are living in the way that God wants and remembering people who are hungry. We discussed whether the children think that fasting is necessary for Muslims to show their commitment to God?
