RE - Can you identify different roles you play in society?

    Posted by Miss E Franklin
Year 3 are learning about Hinduism this term and leading up to understanding how there are many forms of the Hindu God. This lesson they spent some time identifying all the different roles they play in life. They came up with ideas such as son/daughter, cub/brownie, friend and pupil. We then used a net of a cube to represent these sides of us!

    RE - The Easter Story

    Posted by Mr N Kavanagh
The children have been retelling the Easter story. They have had to try and explain why Jesus and Judas acted the way that they did. They could present their work however they chose. We all love the comic strips the most.

Geography - Points of a compass

    Posted by Mr N Kavanagh
We have been looking at the cardinal and intercardinal points of a compass. We had a great discussion about who would need to use a compass and why and even linked the magnetic fields to our science work last term! We had great fun on the field getting to use the compasses and then had to direct each other from one point to another.

Alongside our spelling lessons, we spend part of Whole Class Reading looking at the spellings of words and discussing vocabulary. We have used Wordle as a great way to help with our spelling. It has been a great way to encourage critical thinking skills as the children have found successful strategies for solving the puzzle.
