    Music - Lean on Me

    Today we started our music and focused appreciating this Bill Withers classic. We enjoyed the song and had a go at learning the first verse. Looking forward to learning the rest of the music.

    PE - Swimming

    We have our last swimming day today. We focused on helping struggling swimmers. We used noodles and practiced some scenarios etc. The children really enjoyed this. Well done year 4.

    PSHE - Team building

    Today in PSHE we focused on team building. Year 4 were given two tasks. To try and get the hoop around the circle without breaking it, and to pass a ball around without dropping it and using their hands. They achieved both. Showed some great team work. Well done year 4.

    History - How did World War 1 start?

    Today we started our topic by looking at World War one and how it started. We created some drama to try and help us try and sort it out and in what order... It took a while but we think we got there. Well done year 4.

    Residential - Walk to Buckingham Palace

    We enjoyed a walk from Westminster, past big Ben, into the horse guard parade and then down the Mall to Buckingham Palace. We had some tired legs but as continued and took in some wonderful things. London has been an absolute pleasure.

    Residential - Tower of London

    We headed off bright and early this morning to the Tower of London. I showed what happened to children who didn't complete homework and we enjoyed looking at the amazing crown jewels. Exploring medieval armour and marvelling at King Henry VIII attire. Lots to do an enjoy

    Residential - Thames Cruise

    We hopped onto the boat and had a tour of the wonderful River Thames. We found out some amazing things about buildings alongside the river, including the what the Lions meant for the old flood defences. We started at the Tower and ended up at Westminster. Great stuff

    Residential - Natural Science Museum

    We had a great start to our trip. We got to explore the wonders of the museum and go for a tour of the wonderlab. The children had a great time.

    Residential - Pizza express

    We left the Natural History Museum and wandered down to pizza express for our dinner. We had a lovely meal and a great time to recharge. Excellent behaviour by all.
