  RE - Food Glorious Food

  Today we discussed our favourite food and what we like about them. Then we imagined what it would be like if we were not allowed to eat them. We discussed further and the class were relieved that I was going to message the parents saying their favourite food was off the menu this week.

  Computing - coding letters

  Today in computing we were inputting instructions to make letters on turtle academy playground. We had to be precise with our instructions to ensure that our letters were accurate. Well done year 4.

  Today we reminded ourselves about the 7 processes for life. We reminded ourselves of the words and then discussed what they mean. Cannot wait to delve further into the topic.

  PE - Coordinating and Drumba

  Today in PE we completed two lessons. The first one was looking at how we could use coordination to support our cores. Then we completed a drumba session which was particular hard work. Well done year 4.

  Computing - coding

  Today we started our new topic in computing looking at coding on turtle academy playground. We have a turtle and have to input instructions for it to follow. Ensuring that we are precise with our information. We had a great exploratory lessons and cannot wait to see what else we can create.

  New book. Secrets of a Sun King

  Today we started our new book for the term. This is one of my favourite books and explores the Ancient Egyptians but through the lens of Britain in the 1920's and Howard Carter's search for Tutankhamen's tomb. Lily and her new found friends and seeing if an a client curse and be put to rest to save her Grandad. This book is a brilliant read and cannot wait to share it with year 4.

  Science - Making switches

  Today in Science we made switches today and then tested them to see if they worked in a circuit. We had great success and they learnt about how metal is a good conductor.

  Quidditch taster

  Today we were lucky enough to give quidditch a go. Year 4 all had a go at beating and scoring. Children had great fun with such a unique sport. Lots of transferable skills learnt as well. Well done year 4
