    PE - Athletes in Schools!

    We LOVED our day today with Athletes in Schools. We had so much fun learning how to play Boccia with David Smith and practising our running skills with Ed Faulds. The children were really engaged and had great fun!

    Maths - Arrangements of 3!

    We have been learning about the number 3. We have been using pom-poms to create different arrangements of the number 3. Some of us created triangle arrangements and some of us created horizontal or vertical lines. We also looked at how the number 3 can be grouped by making a group of 2 and a group of 1.

    Storytime in the Woods!

    We went into the woods to have our story today. We read the story 'Owl Babies'. After our story we collected some leaves to use to create some nature owls back in the classroom. We enjoyed exploring the woods and looking for different coloured leaves that had fallen from the trees.

    Fine Motor Skills - Leaf Washing Line

    We have been testing our fine motor skills today by pegging leaves onto a washing line. It was very tricky and we had to use both our hands to peg the leaves onto the string! It also challenged us to persevere when things are tricky.

    KUW/ RE - People Who Help Us

    In RE today we talked about special people who help us learn new things. We talked about our grown ups at home, our teachers, outside clubs and other family members. The children also suggested some new things they would like to learn. They said things such as reading, writing, baking, riding bikes and riding horses!

    KUW/ SCIENCE - Autumn Walk

    We went out for an Autumn walk on the field. We loved searching for different coloured leaves, conkers, pine cones and acorns. We could see the leaves that had fallen off the trees and enjoyed crunching them with our wellies! We are also lucky to have a conker tree on our field!

    KUW/ SCIENCE - Autumn

    Today we thought about the season Autumn. We talked about some of the changes that we see during the Autumn. We found out that the leaves change colours to shades of red, orange, yellow and brown. We also found out that the leaves start to fall of the trees and the weather gets colder. We also talked about discovering conkers, pine cones and acorns outside!

    LITERACY - Drawing Club

    In Drawing Club this week we have been drawing Colin from Somebody Crunched Colin! We challenged ourselves to write the CVC word 'can' as Colin is recycled and turned into a watering can.

    EAD/ Art - Making Faces

    We have been using loose parts to make faces in provision today! We used conkers, leaves, stones, sticks and sycamore leaves to create some funny faces!

    KUW/ RE - Special People

    In RE this week we were thinking about our special people. We thought about some of the things we like to do with our special people. Some of our ideas included bedtime stories, building with Lego, baking cakes, bike rides and drawing.
