    KUW/ SCIENCE - Planting

    Posted by Mrs K Ferris
We have been busy today planting seeds! We have planted some flowers and vegetables! Mrs Ferris is excited because we have even planted some pumpkins!! We had to spread the soil in the seed trays and put the seeds into a small hole and cover it with soil. We will water them and put them in a light area of the classroom and watch them grow before we transfer them to our outdoor area.

    MATHS - Odds and Evens

    Posted by Mrs K Ferris
In maths this week we have been learning about odd and even numbers. We found out that 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 are odd numbers and 2, 4, 6 and 8 are even numbers! We looked at the Numicon pieces for the numbers and sorted them into odd/ even piles. It helped us to look at the shapes of the Numicon to see which ones had a flat top and which ones had a bit sticking up!

    EAD/ ART - Pop Art

    Posted by Mrs K Ferris
We found out about Andy Warhol and Pop Art! We looked at the piece of art based on a banana. We talked about how the painting was created using the technique of 'printing'. We had a go at creating our own version of the painting using paint sticks and sponges for printing. We used bright colours to make our art work eye-catching!
