    Plant cycles

    Posted by Mrs L Jesters
We are exploring life cycles! This week we are making a wheel of how a sunflower will grow. The children used scissors to cut out their parts and with some adult help they pinned them together. We then spoke about the different events that take part in order to make a sunflower grow.

    What's our favourtie milkshake?

    Posted by Mrs L Jesters
This afternoon we took part in deciding what our favourtie milkshake was. The children made and tried the flavours, strawberry and banana. Once we tried them we then used a tally chart to mark off our favourite. We then counted them up to find out our results. The strawberry had 12 and the banana had 6.

    Painting

    Posted by Mrs L Jesters
We enjoy painting with different objects and always look for new ideas. Today we used different size carrots and tried to create a picture of our daffodils that we have been planting in our garden. The children looked closely at the flowers to notice the small details and colours.

    Exploring homes

    Posted by Mrs L Jesters
The children have been encouraged to think about homes for different animals and insects. They were challenged to make a home for them and to talk about the resources they need and why. Today we had a bug home made. He used grass, stones and sticks and spoke about the bugs needing food and a roof. Other children have started to make farmyards for their farm animals and have used straw as their beds and coats!

    World Book Day

We loved seeing all the children dressed up as their favourite book characters. We spent the day sharing and reading our own stories and new stories that our friends brought in. The children made their very own book marks to took part in our activities relating to our story.
