  Melting Snowman

  Today we have been decorating biscuits to look like melting snowmen, we used marshmallows to make the bodies and raisons for their eyes. They were super yummy!

  Elf Hunt

  This afternoon we went on a Elf hunt. We had to look for the elf that had our name on! We had a go at recognizing some of our letters in our name and had a go at pronouncing the first letter. We had to look super hard as some of our elves were very good at hiding!

  Winter Wonderland

  Today we made a Winter Wonderland tuff tray! The children used flour for snow and sprinkled it over the buildings and train tracks. We spoke about our own snow experiences, building snowman and throwing snowballs! We had a go at thinking of different words to describe snow! We had lots of fun and enjoyed making our own stories up using the resources.

  Tuff Tray Snowman!

  In our tuff tray we have been using different shapes and materials to create our own snowman! Some of us made our own and some of us worked together. We thought about the material and what our snowman would like to keep him warm! We made his Hat, scarf, arms, buttons, eyes and a carrot for his nose!

  Post Office

  This week we have converted our home corner into a Post Office. We have been busy getting parcels and letters ready for Christmas. Using our wrapping station we used scissors to cut and wrap boxes. Some of us made our own wrapping paper! We used stamps and envelopes to post off our Christmas lists to Father Christmas and letters to our friends and family!

  Room on the Broom

  Today we read and watched 'Room on the Broom' We then had a go at making our own potions using water, soap, mud and pumpkins, mixing it all up together using our magic words. Some of us used Broom sticks to re-enact their favorite part of the story.... "Whoosh they were gone"!!

  Magic Wands

  This week we are looking at the story 'Room on the Broom'. We decided to make our very own magic wands using the perfect stick that we found down in the woods. Once we found them we then used stars, glitter and ribbon to decorate. We each had a go at thinking of our own spells using our brand new wands!

  Tea Light Holders

  During this week we have been busy creating our very own Tea light holders. We made these as one of our Diwali activities, learning more about the history and their celebration. Using clay we rolled and molded it to make our Tea Light Holder, once dry we then painted them with bright colours just like they do for Diwali! we spoke about the texture and the colours we used.
